Jackie is one of the original owners of Smith Marine. He has over 45Â
years of marine repair experience. Over the years, manufacturers haveÂ
called Jackie asking how to fix their motors. If Jackie can’t fix it,Â
it can’t be fixed. Jackie is certified in Mercury, Mercruiser, Honda,Â
OMC, Volvo, Kohler, and Westerbeke Generators. He also has multipleÂ
welding certifications and is truly one of the most gifted mechanicsÂ
in the region.
Jill has been a fixture at Main Harbor at the Ross Barnett Reservoir for over 17 years. She’s been a part of the Smith Marine family for more than 12 years. Jill met the Smith family over 20 years ago at Main Harbor where she worked for the Deweese. Now she’s Buddy’s wife and chief storyteller about days at “The Dock.
Richard has over 33 years of marine repair experience. He’s certified in Indmar, Suzuki, and Volvo engine repair. He’s also been an ASE certified mechanic in the automotive world for more than 20 years. He’s been a valuable member of the Smith Marine repair team for over 5 years.
Sains is from the thriving metropolis of Sebastopol. He has multiple welding, electrical, mechanical, and fabrication certifications. We would like to thank him for his service in the US Army. He grew up around sailboats, worked around powerlines, worked offshore, built cell phone towers, and comes from a farm family. He’s another jack of all trades who can literally do anything.
Jenene also comes to Smith Marine from the US Military where she was aboard the USS Ronald Reagan when it was commissioned. With her
military skill, she keeps Buddy and the rest of the team in order. If there’s a question about parts or service, Jenene can help! She’s the organizational backbone of Smith Marine.
